Answer: The medical centre will be an out-patient facility undertaking diagnosis for common diseases and dispensing of medicine. In essence it will have a lab component to test for common health issues and carry out clinic/treatment. Detailed medical examination requiring scans, x-rays etc will be referred to other more equipped hospitals.
The clinic will be operating everyday as from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm on normal circumstances. Patients are registered as they come in, taken in for consultation, examination and treatment. The clinic is to have sections for registration, consultation, examination, laboratory and pharmacy. It will be open to the public who are expected to pay minimum fee. The clinic will maintain its own book of accounts for ease of management and performance determination.
FAFU is to cater for the cost of treatment of its children at the clinic. That is FAFU is to have medical fund for each child while the clinic is to set a special rate for FAFU children at no less than cost value.
